Leather that gets better with age

Vegetable-tanned leather darkens and softens the more you use it. A few minutes of care twice a year keeps it that way.

Woven cognac leather weekend bag

Our bags and boots are made from vegetable-tanned leather. It's stiffer when new than the chrome-tanned leather used in most fashion bags, but it ages instead of wearing out: the colour deepens, the surface takes on a soft shine, and scratches blend in over time.

Everyday care

  • Wipe off dust and marks with a slightly damp cloth.
  • Let wet leather dry naturally, away from heaters.
  • Stuff bags with paper when you're not using them so they keep their shape.

Twice a year

Rub in a thin layer of leather conditioner with a soft cloth, leave it overnight, then buff. Once before the monsoon and once in winter is enough.
